Past 100 and hoping for more!

Toad's Tongue, my 10-thousand-word story, was officially finished on December 14, 2025 as my hundredth non-flash story. It's only the fifth story I've ever written over 5000 words, and the longest I've ever written period.

I've completed two since then - DaddysDolly (1577 words), and Dear Aunt Paula (2049 words). And work has let up to the point that I'm managing to drop the needle into my drafts file and edit or expand on some of those in-progress ideas.

I had an idea for an April Fools Day story a few years back; maybe I can finish it this year in time for that date!

Close to 100!

I've been close to a hundred non-flash stories in my written collection for more than five years.

I'm now semi-officially one away. I just completed my newest story, one of just past 10,000 words, and I've got it in limited circulation so I can nail down any necessary edits that I missed.
That will be officially number 99.

I have enough currently-active small stories (750-1250 words in progress) that I definitely expect to hit 100 early in 2026. When I first started this writing thing, I could never have envisioned anything like a hundred stories; now I get frustrated that I haven't hit it yet.

It's gonna feel GOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

Productive Day

700 words in two of my long stories-in-progress. Most of that involving a man's doctor visit to a female doctor and resulting prostate check. I thought I'd be writing an encounter for him with a nurse, but my keyboard had different ideas. He'll get lucky tonight (in story time, not necessarily in my clock time) once my muse rolls a d20 and lets me know how.

What is this, an annual post?

I finished one of my short stories yesterday. Gads. Last one I finished was around Christmas last year - maybe my writing brain only works well on holidays.

I've got lots in my draft file. Perhaps next year I'll be able to finish out one of the long ones.

Broke the writers block

Had an idea that percolated into a 200-word drabble. Still counts as breaking the blockage.

Too short for SOL. Perhaps I'll gather up my drabbles and post them as a single collection this spring.
