I have just finished the last lines of Bad Girl. It’s the first draft, the one Devon Layne calls ‘the version from the heart’. And I am pleased with the result. Although 6 or 7 chapters are less than Good Girl, it’s—give or take a few words—about the same length as the previous one in the series: 77k. There is still a lot of work left, of course. I have to complete 2 or 3 scenes that I need in the story that are boring to write. And if they are boring to write, they are definitely boring to read. So I have to work on those. I need my timeline to be correct, add some seasonal details, and delete some favorite scenes that are superfluous. The last step is the line edit that is difficult for a non-native writer.
Just wanted to thank you for the Clitorides nominations for Best Erotic Story by New Writer and Best BDSM story. You are too kind. I hope to post the finished story before the end of Spring.
My name is Han van Meegeren and “Good Girl” is my first story, well, the first I have finished. It’s 30 chapters short and in total 77k words. I will post two chapters weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays. Since I’m from the Netherlands, I write in British English as that’s the language I learned during my school days.
Like any other narrative, it’s best to start by reading the codes. However, if that doesn’t interest you, feel free to skip the story.
