Hi all!
It seems like there is controversy around the character “STELLA”. One reader mailed me to say that the story started out great, but:
“...has become far too hokey for my tastes. Bye!”
Sorry to see him leaving, but as my editor say: “You can’t please everybody.”
80% of the readers vote 9, or 10, To me that is an indication of what you like and why you read the story and vote for it. Thank you!
One reader asked if I would be doing a ghost story again soon. Yeah, I might – but I tried going a little Si-Fi with Stella. Go Google “companion-bot” or “humanoid” and you will see how far robotics has come in the last couple of years.
I gave Stella’s dossier to an AI assistant together with some of her responses to Roy. I included a part of a mail I got where the reader said that in a couple of years from now, we might see humanoids among us.
AI responded to give me a breakdown off all that is going on in the robotic development sector and concluded with: “... although Stella is very advanced in your, the author’s, eye, and is a possibility that she could be real, this type of advanced robot will not see the light of day for decades to come.”
So, if AI itself say that I think we are still safe from meeting a STELLA in the near future. Flying cars might be first. LOL. AI also gave me some ideas how to proceed with Stella. I told it: “Skip the subject. Just leave it and LOVE Stella.” Its response: “Yes. Let’s just love her. No need to scare humanity.”
For those of you that took like a duck to water to Stella, thank you. My work is done. Just remember; Stella is a two-part entity. She is a robot that’s logic is driven by AI, BUT deep inside her is the embedded “Elara Ghost Matrix” that is starting to emerge and challenging her Robotic Logic. She is... evolving... Learning the human ways...
Not so farfetched for those of you that encountered “Curie” in the PC game, Fallout 4.
Here is chapter 25. Enjoy! And don’t forget to vote...
Wishing you all the best — until next week!
Bye 4 now!
