Well, this has been interesting. I wasn’t planning to post Chapter 19 until Monday, but needs must. I’d like to thank everyone who has read the story—and most importantly, those who have commented on it. Your feedback lets me know what needs work, especially since genuine criticism is hard to come by these days. That said, I’m truly grateful that people are taking the time to offer thoughtful critiques and share what they think. It means a lot to me. It shows that readers are engaged with the story and genuinely care about the characters’ growth and personal challenges.
The changes in James were part of a long arc, which is nearing its end. As we move into Book Three, he’ll face different challenges ahead. I really love Book Three—and don’t get your knickers in a twist—no more “three-day unwashed cunt.” I’ve removed that.
Book three will be more on his 'empire' and solidifying his stake.
