Trying to find a story where a driver is driving his truck full of electronic gear and finds himself transported into pre-Jamestown (or around Jamestown time frame) southeastern US. He allies with the Native American tribes to unit them and repel the English. Evidentially one of his ship travels up the Thames to confront them. (great scene) Anyone remember this story?
