Click on the author's name to go to their profile page. In the upper right corner is a link "Follow Author"
ok thanks...my memory is gone...I'm already following the author I wanted to follow so "follow author" wasn't there...

Hmm, then something like "unfollow author" should be.
I have in the upper right for this author Home, Authors, Author Settings, and My Library. "Unfollow" was under Author Settings and several links including "Following" under My Library.
I had clicked on Home and Authors but didn't click on Author Settings or My Library until after reading jimq2 response

The My Library link is the same as the My Library link on the top of the home page. The Following link on the My Library page simply takes you to a list of the authors you are currently following.
