Unfinished work

I've noticed that some of the abandoned and unfinished stories are getting picked up by other authors and I was wondering if I could put in a request or to for stories I love to see worked on. Both of these stories are technically finished but the author promised to do other books to complete the stories. Now I love this author's work but it's been over 10 years since he last posted a chapter in anything let alone added to either of these stories. It's also been over 5 years since he last posted on his blog.

I'm talking about El Sol and his Wellspring series and Maker Series. Both initial stores were great and had tons of potential (I actually think just those stories could be expanded to two or three times their original size).

I don't suggest or ask for anyone to work on his "The Masters Ring" series since that's supposed to be his masterpiece. But those other two series are both at loose ends and need some loving.

Why have you posted this under "Lost Stories"?

ElSol appears to be alive and healthy - albeit with small kids - but has either not been on this site for 365 days or has set the flag saying he doesn't want SOL Mail.
Nobody can do anything without his approval, and I don't think people are going to be running down the door to complete someone else's stories on a free website either. Some authors have looked for someone to finish their tales when they were no longer capable of doing it themselves but that has hardly ever (or never) worked here.

There's actually been quite a a few stories continued by other authors on this site in the last year or so. I'm not sure how you're so sure El Sol is alive since it's been 5 years since he's even posted to his. Blog or responded to a email. If you have a way of contacting his to confirm he is living you might want to suggest he let his readers know

I could have sworn he responded to something on the forum relatively recently. But I can't find it.

It's possible that it was in one of the 'purge' threads - I think some have been purged.

I haven't seen where anything was purged. Some authors removed their material but that was their choice.

The original statement was that Limab could have sworn El Sol replied to a forum post/thread, and AJ commented that the comment may have been in one of the forum threads that was removed (purged) by the site admins during the site move panic, as they tried to reduce the high levels of consternation amongst the site's denizens.

Personally, I thought that a bad move as it only made the situation worse by removing the little (at the time) correct information available to us all. A fact not helped by there initially being no 'official' word as to what was going on, leading to a lot of avoidable conjecture, and authors pro-actively removing stories that (as it turned out) needn't have been removed.

If any were purged, I can't understand the criteria used to delete them. pre-2011 material is still available as is both bestiality and teen content. If you go to an author's page there may be black dots next to stories, apparently at random.
I mentioned before that a couple of days after the original announcement the "random story" posted was about sex with little kids. I would think that any effort to remove those stories would have caught that.

I believe the stories with dots are those that either have the bestiality tag or have a tag that identifies it as having characters under 14 having descriptive sex.

Please go back and re-read the previous comments. The discussion/ sub-stack was NEVER about stories, it was about a thread/conversation on the forums.
