Would it be possible (and easy) to place the date after the name of the person posting sonething in the forum? that way we would know how old the original post is. something like

That's the date of the latest reply, I think the OP wants the date of the original post - which is available in the founding post itself, and really does not add any more information than the thread shading for viewed threads but would add visual clutter.
I've sometimes thought that might be useful, but I wouldn't rate it important enough to make a song and dance about. Perhaps, with the introduction of advanced search facilities, that might change.

I took that as a trigger to check whether Forum Searching was back or not.
What happened? A fucking blank page, and that's one of the cases were refreshing to resend the data does not work.

It's my understanding that the forum search facility will stay broken until after the server move.
