Male-perspective bisexual: Paul finds marrying an older, rich woman complicated, not just in terms of his relationship with his boyfriend, but also because the woman's rich lifestyle depends on keeping her former husband, who fancies Paul as well, satisfied.

This is a short story to cover an unfinished item in Connard Wellingham's story 'The Girls' School.' At the end of that story a young man badly misbehaves and then betrays a trust, placing many at risk. Those most affected by his behaviour get special help to extract a revenge for his betrayal; this is the start of that story. NB: This is well outside my comfort zone, see end note. The novelist's obsession with having Elan prompts him to take the boy to a ranch in the Tetons where men train boys from Elan's age in full sex.
