The training at RAF Halton was not anything like that of the SAS,or the Para's,nor the Royal Marines;we were training to be responsible engineers not mean lean killers. Even so Halton attempted to forge a similar esprit de corps, professionalism, and raison d'être in the apprentices who passed through the establishment as was held in those elite units. For good or bad the methods employed sixty years ago have now gone with the wind.

A partly true tale, mostly fictional, of the darkest time in two lives. We were both young and new to mental illness. We were friends and attracted to each other as we were held captive for our own good in a hospital psyche ward. Would the relationship last after discharge or were we merely clinging to each other as somebody safe and secure in a time of chaos?

My girlfriend invited me to a party at a friend's house, where she surprised me with a gift, of sorts. Then she gave a little, but wound up getting a lot more than she bargained for.

This story will be nostalgic for some and a real education for those who have not been there. It is the story of a man who having survived a bitter divorce goes to Thailand looking for love and a new life. He finds lots of exotic sex and bitter betrayal.
