Are you sure it wasn't 'Getting it Wrong' by the same author at the same locations?
2 different stories. "Getting it Wrong" is the first of a trilogy, and "Getting it Right" is the second.
So the third is "Getting it Sorta Right" is the last in the series? ;)

I know it a do over. I also know i read it recently just can't remember name. If it helps the guy gets hit by the boyfriend on purpose to get rid of him.
If I remember correctly he work in a store own by a asian couple and the male owner had a dojo that he eventually takes over.
