it's not very useful.
While both stories are IMO great stories and I strongly recommend them, they do not use the same definition of "gamelit".
Phoenix rising is using the definition I'm familiar with of stories following a player/character in a game where they somehow experience it (in Phoenix rising because it's a full immersion VR game).
Country boy, City Girl is a story about people who are gamers, and game writers. While the fact they are gamers is important to the story and they attend cons and play RPG, etc... the story is not about the games they play, and doesn't go into much detail about them. The characters certainly don't experience life in the games they play.
