From what I read, it sounded like she had it pretty much together for having been thrown 800 yrs into the future, unless I missed something, and im pretty sure I didn't miss much. I've probably read this tale a bunch of times since it's one of my favorites. If I missed something please let me know.
I think the story skated over a lot of the differences between Japan in 1190 and whenever the story was set, a lot of the adjustment was helpfully sorted by supernatural powers. Btw, Minamoto no Yoritomo had quite a bit in common with Josef Stalin.
