The desert crossing of a mother and daughter to find each other after a life separated and living a world apart. They do as strangers via Internet and in the meantime found the love they so much desired. As usual my thanks to Pepere, my editor, for his skills, patience and bon-homie.
I want to thank mostera1; he always makes my stories better. This is the sequel to, 'The Call.' I believe it is a standalone story but if you haven't read the original it may help you better understand some parts of this story. In the original story it took me 3 chapters to break up the Cooper family; it took me 7 to get them back together. Each chapter will be submitted daily. I want to thank you all in advance and remind you that comments are always more than welcome.
Jenny is a lonely and unhappy young mother who recently left the world she knew in San Diego for Phoenix Arizona in the summer of 1980. She is having a terrible day, which is made worse when her car overheats on the way back from work. Things begin to look up when Kate, a cute and good-hearted high school rocker chick, offers her a ride home. Jenny’s radiator isn’t the only thing that overheats as the two young women are drawn together by circumstance in the scorching desert heat.
