Dozens of readers have asked me to write endings for one or several of my many incomplete works. Here you go!

Aliens visit earth and see a planet in deep ecological trouble, and devise a genetic fix that makes people value the common good above their own selfish desires. To disseminate the fix, they make a temporary bunch of men to impregnate as many women as possible. But due to an alien glitch the new 'ordinary' men refuse to father multiple children. As the population plummets, the women choose the only option they see that prevents extinction.

On an evening in March 2023 I accessed the web site ChatGPT to see what all of the fuss was about. I asked it the obvious question and got a response. I then kept asking it questions about a world I had made up on the fly. This is the output from that conversation for your reading and comment. I don't know if it will ever replace human writers, but it is coming close.

It leaves Maggie and her niece's naked and confused the rest of the day; Cody, simply confused. Throw Maggie's neighbor's son Henry into the mix, and anything can happen.
