Slow Stories

Inspired by the world created in ElSol’s The Master’s Ring, begins my story set 19 years later. The great purge is ending. A new generation is growing towards adulthood. Since ElSol proclaimed he would never finish his masterpiece, I am striving to expand his world with my own science fiction spin(respectfully). This is absolutely not a sequel, just my reimagining of ElSol's world I so enjoyed. Chapter lengths vary widely. This is intended to be a long continuing story. Only posted here on SOL.

Sam's marriage seems to be getting stale. They try marriage counseling but his life goes up in flames. Can a woman and her daughter on the run from her husband help him believe in love again? And just what shade of gray are those lovely eyes?

A story in the The Windy Pines Universe
Winner of the 2022 Clitorides Award. Another year in school for Sam before he can return to The Windy Pines for the summer. Sam is instore for some changes. He is growing up, though not always wiser. With age comes responsibility. He still has a lot to learn, and he gets a crash course on what it takes to grow up.

I threw it all away.

David experiences love and the heartache of loss in his life, and on his journey of recovery finds it difficult to accept help at all, but especially from an unexpected source. He has to learn that some things shouldn't ever 'go without saying', and finds that not all his friends know when to speak and when to shut up. That needs wisdom, which really does go without saying.
