A story set in the Pinwheel Universe
A UNN fleet on routine patrol near the outskirts of Coalition space encounters a previously uncontacted civilization, but while the aliens seem friendly, the Betelgeusian hive fleet that's sizing up their homeworld is not. Undersupplied and months from the nearest reinforcements, the fleet must coordinate with the locals in order to organize a last ditch defense of the planet. A Ley Line Witch Story
When raiders, the horse barbarians,attack their village, Nikshith fled with most of the other villagers. At 75, he soon had trouble keeping up with the younger people. Madailein Kavanagh has a problem. several actually. The demon sent to kill her and its employer are unhappy that she is still alive. The other Ley Line users are unhappy that she has joined their previously all male club, as she hadn't been invited to join, but now couldn't be denied. Maddy needs to learn how to use this new Magic that she has before one or more of them decide to take her out. There is no sex in the first book. / (Reviews)
