Ok so it has been a real struggle to write lately. I had a huge burst of motivation to write when I first got the idea for TLBRAM and it carried into writing more for DTB. Unfortunately I have not been prioritizing writing as much as I should. I was hoping to motivate myself by posting to this site and using that to gauge actual interest in my books. It worked for quite a while, muxh longer than I expected it to TBH, but it is hard to stay motivated with so little feedback.
I know that shouldn't be the point of it. A writer should write for writers sake or some Bullshit. Unfortunately I am extrinsically motivated and the lack of feed back, mixed wuth having started a chapter of TLBRAM that just feels so meh that I know i need to scrap it, has left me with a major case of writers block. I am aware that no one owes me anything. No one owes me ratings or comments. I am just letting my readers know that i would greatly appreciate some comments.
Please critisize my writing. Please tell me your favorite parts. Please tell me what you hate about it. Please tell me what you would change. Please tell me what you want more of. Not because i want to bend to your whims, but because i am stuck and I would love some fresh input. People are reading my blogs, reading my stories and I love that so so much. I am so very grateful for eyes on my stories. That being said, I'd like to be able to connect with my readership.
Ok so I reposted what the first chapter of TLBRAM because I don't want anymore new readers to be confused by the missing parts. Please chack it out when you all get the chance!
So as I was looking through my story to edit it to repost, I realized that there was at least three entire paragraphs that somehow got deleted before I could post it to here. Please note that I am doing major edits that will add several pages to each chapter, and I will make sure to add those missing parts back in. I hope that you all will take the time to re-read those parts at least and that everything will be vastly improved. To those that read it before the edits, and were disappointed, I do apologize and I hope that you will give the story another chance.
Hello, Readers. Just wanted to leave this little warning. There are mentions of molestation/attempted rape between two underaged characters. Nothing happens on screen but, as this story is listed as no sex, I want to try and prepare my readers for this. Basically, "Reader discretion is advised".
So many of you have seen articles talking about the effect that A.I is having on writers. The intellectual property theft, the over taking of writing space by A.I generated schlock, the snake that is A.I writing, eating its own proverbial tail by scraping A.I writen content to incorporate into itself. As a promise to myself and my writers, I will always be honest about any A.I use that I do. I do NOT use any LLMs for Plot generation, mass writing or research. I do not use A.I art generators for any artwork I may present in the future. I use ONE type of A.I and that is Grammarly to check my spelling,grammar and, at times, I will take its suggestions on how to better word a sentence. Speaking of Word(tm) I also use it's in-house spell check and grammar functions. Therefore all plot devices, spelling mistakes, grammar mistakes, dropped plot threads or other story writing mistakes are mine and mine alone. But so are all of the characters, the phrases that I am most proud of and the scenes that make you feel. This is a promise that I make to myself and my readers. Not sure if this actually matters to you all but it does to me. And if I do ever end up using A.I/LLMs, I will be upfront and tell you where in the text I used it at the end of the chapter so as not to spoil any scenes. To be quite frank, I hope that I never stoop that far. Not to be pretentious but if I never manage to write a single other word for any posted story, I will still feel like I have accoplished more than the people that plug a prompt into Chatgpt and post what it spits out verbatum. Especially after the court ruled against the authors suing Metas A.I. Thank you all for your time.
