Sex scenes

One of the things that has kept me from publishing here is the sex. I'm just not sure I can describe it the way I want to. I certainly know all about sex, but putting the act into words is something I've always struggled with...and probably will continue to.

A writer, as we all know, can really discourage readers from enjoying our work if we get so caught up in every little detail because they want you to not just be able to see it, but feel it as well. Or on the other end they write as if they are a 14 year old whose only experience is online porn video's.

I think I've got it figured out. But we'll see.

I hope you enjoy this next chapter of The Passage.

An Introduction

Good day to all of you. Especially to the mother’s out there.

I wanted to take a little moment to talk about my literary past. I think I first wrote my first short story in maybe 7th or 8th grade some 40 years ago. My English teacher liked it so much she started giving me extra credit assignments for more short stories. Looking back on it now, I think she must’ve thought I had some talent…or that I sucked so bad at daily course work this was the only way I might pass her class. But either way, I took it to mean I had some potential.

Now, I have always been someone who is constantly daydreaming to the casual observer, but in reality I’m either narrating a new story or world building a universe. Hmm, I guess that is the definition of daydreaming. Oh well.

So move forward a few decades to this week and I have finally started to actually share my imagination. Serathi Whispers is just a teaser, since the first book is basically going to lay the foundation for the universe. Yes it is a relatively short piece, but it seems to have generated at least some interest.

According to the Word document properties, I first started working on The Human Shift universe back in 2006. And believe it or not, I actually posted some small blurbs on MySpace back then. But because of my career and family life, I didn’t really have time to sit down and devote dedicated time to working on it.

So fast forward 20 years, and here we are. I’m finally going to start publishing my daydreams. I have no illusions that I’m going to be the next Hemmingway or Heinlein, but if I can find at least 1 person who likes my stuff, I’ll be happy.

Now, as far as AI goes, yes I use it. But NOT to write. I am probably only one of a small percentage of writers who actually outlines their stories. Not just the story, but everything from new species and worlds to tech and other specific new things. So I am cheating and using it to help keep things organized and consistent. I am also NOT an artist and I’m far too cheap to pay someone to create artwork so guess what….

So moving forward, I will be sharing this new universe and maybe 1 or 2 more. I will also have some one offs and perhaps some contributions to other Universe’s here. I hope you the reader will enjoy what I bring to Storiesonline as I join some truly talented authors here.
