The end of the year. The End of the Story.

Yes. I remember 2001. Only it was not "The Space Odyssey" that I experienced. I look back on that era and wonder "What would Hank Do?"
And I think he would do as I suggested. Find a way to shelter those dear to him from the upcoming turmoil of the next sixteen years, and hide himself and others where they could not be easily seen. At least that is what *I* would hope he would do.

Then again, I am a retired old man. What do I know about the people I work with in my retirement. Of course, my travel arrangements are a little unusual. But that's ok. I don't seem to be waiting in airports very much.

Thank you all for reading this missive. And I apologize for being so long in getting it finished. And thank you all for your indulgence in reading the few works I put together.

No, I'm not dead yet.

I'm checking up on a lot of European and particularly English history of the 1400 and 1500s and its influence on English behavior by the likes of Henry VIII. This was an amazing turbulent period and the only fair play was any play. There were no Machiavelli moves by England or France or Spain in this period. It was all a totally blunt conflict with the goal of forcing England into submission. Which is why the English are so stubborn and proud of their history.

Been Too Long, I know.

I can only plead a lack of energy to be able to focus on the task of completing "Magic 301". I will be posting 17 this weekend, and it's a good continuation of the story. Mainly it is about the reactions and actions of the 2001 conclave, the upcoming wedding, and growth for Clan Lambert.

The wedding is in Chapter 18. and we see a hint of what Hank has in mind for his Clan, his future Family, and all of his friends.

Solstice. One man's winter is another Man's summer.

There has been some interesting comments about "Solstice" with respect to Length of days. The "Summer" solstice is usually seen as June 21, as the longest day of the year. This issue to the angle of the earth, and the rotation around the sun. the issue here is that the Summer Solstice is also the Shortest Day of the year in Perth Australia. Because that is below the Equatorial line around the earth. So they are in opposition. The 21 of December (The Winter Solstice in Europe, and the americas) is the longest day in Australia and Rio. Which plays a part at the end of the next chapter.

YES, I am still alive and YES I am working.

I left everyone in a rush on the last of 15. I know it. After all, where do you go with such an ending?
Well, You don't die. because your readers will curse you for ever.
I want to apologize for my lack of editorial support due to my own ignorance. And stubbornness. I didn't think that what I scribbled deserved an editor.
I do want to reach out to Reluctant Sir and ask him if he wants to do a Joint book of Magic 101 to 301. (and maybe 401). But until I hear from him, Editorial rewrite won't happen.
But anyway. I am finishing up on 16. Which sets the stage for conflicts. Both real and surreal.
Thanks for your patience.
