This was a tough one to code and I tried to get it right. I had an idea for the Halloween contest, but the plot start changing a few thousand words in and I ended up writing something scary, but not Halloween scary.
Some people will not like this story. You know who you are.

I found some grammar and spelling errors in the posted version and fixed them The revised story should be a better read.
I intend to continue this story, but as mentioned elsewhere in my blog, I don't want to commit to anything and leave the audience unhappy. Favorite this story, and any others of mine, and you'll be notified if and when a new chapter is added.

I am a busy person and I'm sometimes called away from home unexpectedly for short or extended periods. This is necessary to eat. For that reason, although I may intend to write and post multi-chapter stories, I will probably mark them as complete. I would rather do it that way than annoy the reader with expectations that I may not be able to meet.
If you like a particular story and want to read additional chapters if and when they are available, then simply favorite that story and you'll be notified when it updates. It isn't difficult and it will help both of us, I think. If you have a different opinion, I'm very happy to listen and consider all points of view. It's how we get things done in this country...or used to, anyway.
