The Distance Between

The final chapter of "Silver Veil" goes up tomorrow. I'll go right into the next story, "The Distance Between", the next day. I'll lead with the first two chapters, then post a new chapter every day.

This new story will probably end up being the longest one I've posted to this point. The chapters are a little shorter than usual, but there are 42 of them, plus an epilogue. As with all of the stories I've posted so far, there's the usual "AI enhanced" disclaimer.

The story is told using rotating 1st person POV, between three different characters. It's split into sections, with the POV character clearly named at the start of each segment, which should make it easy to follow. I've never created in this style before, but it seems to work well with these particular characters.

Another one wrapped up

The final chapter (12) of "The Way North" will be posted tomorrow.

Next up is Book 2 in the Zora's Aurora series, titled "Silver Veil". The ZA books are intended to be a series, which means you should read Book 1 (Glory's Shadow) before reading Book 2. Book 2 is basically a continuation of Book 1. I especially want to mention this because for some reason, "Glory's Shadow" is not being noticed. Curiously, it has less than 10% of the downloads of my other stories. I suspect it's because of the codes assigned to it. But you'll definitely want to read the first book before checking out the new story.

The Zora's Aurora stories are quite different from the others I've posted. For one thing, they're shorter. (I may put out a longer one at some point.) They're also much lighter fare. I'd describe them as noir mysteries set in the future, with good doses of music, humor, and camaraderie.

I plan to start posting Book 2 on Friday. I'll put up a new chapter every day. There are only 9 chapters in the book, so I'll burn though this one quickly.

I'm plugging away at the story after that. It's titled "The Distance Between", and it's a return to my normal inter-cultural romance theme. This one is quite ambitious in both format and subject matter, and I'll be interested to see how it's received. I hope to be able to start posting it as soon as "Book 2 - Silver Veil" is up.

Finishing up Los Cuatro

Chapter 22 plus the epilogue of Los Cuatro will get posted tomorrow. That will bring the story to its conclusion.

I wrote earlier that my stories are AI-enhanced (and I've coded them appropriately). That's the truth. However, Los Cuatro is perhaps a little less AI-influenced than the others. There's a lot in that story that I relate to personally, and large segments of it are entirely my own writing. For that reason, it's a special story for me.

I plan to post the first two chapters of the next story - The Way North - the day after. I'll post a new chapter every other day. This story's a little shorter - 12 chapters total.

Starting tomorrow, I plan to speed up the posting of Los Cuatro. There will be a new chapter going up every day (instead of every other day). The final chapter (and epilogue) will be posted on 10/31.

I'll be traveling during early November, so I want to get the next story queued up before I go. The title of that story is "The Way North". Without giving too much away, it's a historical romance involving time travel to the past.

After "The Way North", as of now my plans are to follow with Book 2 in the Zora's Aurora series, although that could change.

Another story

I uploaded the remaining five chapters of Leaving Francistown. The entire story is now up on the site.

I also posted the first chapter of a new story today. The story is titled Los Cuatro ("The Four"). Spanish title, yes, but the story is written in English. I plan to post new chapters every other day. As with my previous stories, I've fully written this one at this point, and it's AI-assisted.

Los Cuatro is a tale of four people (an American man and three Mexican-American women) who are abducted by Mexican cartel members from a park in Brownsville, Texas, near the Rio Grande.
